Cross-Laminated Panels

Three layers. Exceptional stability. Unlimited possibilities.

Discover Strumber – a next-generation material that combines the natural character of hemp with an engineered structure and the versatility of modern woodworking. Our panels are made from three layers of hemp lumber bonded in a cross-laminated arrangement, providing high stiffness and dimensional stability.

The perpendicular orientation of the layers helps minimise the effects of dimensional changes within the material, contributing to the stability of the finished panel. This construction offers greater freedom when designing furniture, interior fittings and architectural details.

Each panel features a distinctive hemp structure that gives every project an authentic character. Its natural surface pattern makes the material a decorative feature in its own right – original, expressive and unique.

Available formats, thicknesses and layer construction

Strumber hemp lumber panels are available in a standard format of 2500 × 1250 mm, in four thicknesses: 18, 22, 28 and 36 mm.

Available thicknesses and suggested applications:

  • 18 mm – furniture fronts, shelving, wall panels and decorative elements.
  • 22 mm – shelving, desks, tables and interior built-ins.
  • 28 mm – worktops, tables, reception counters and distinctive furniture elements.
  • 36 mm – substantial worktops, tables, thick shelving and bespoke architectural projects.

The range of thicknesses allows you to select the right material for your project – from lightweight, refined details to solid elements with a bold visual presence. One material, a wide range of applications and the freedom to create cohesive interiors.

Strumber – three layers, intelligent construction and new possibilities for designing with hemp lumber.

Why choose Strumber?

  • Three-layer cross-laminated construction – stiffness and stability that support precision in manufacturing.
  • Distinctive hemp aesthetics – a characteristic surface structure that sets your project apart and gives it an individual style.
  • Very low formaldehyde emissions – declared emissions of just 0.009 mg/m³.
  • Reaction to fire classification C-s1,d0 – an important parameter when selecting materials for suitable interior applications.
  • Machinability – cutting, drilling, routing and sanding using appropriately selected woodworking tools.
  • Versatile finishing options – the surface can be treated with lacquer, stain, oil or hardwax oil to achieve the desired look.
  • An alternative to conventional raw materials – made from hemp, an annual crop, offering an interesting option for more conscious material choices.

A material that opens up new possibilities

Strumber is more than a panel for furniture manufacturing. It offers an alternative to conventional materials used in joinery and interior finishing, giving designers new ways to work with the distinctive natural structure of hemp.

From furniture fronts, shelving and worktops to decorative wall cladding and stair components, as well as exhibition stands, display structures and stage sets, Strumber makes it possible to create cohesive, distinctive designs.

Hemp instead of conventional raw materials

Hemp is an annual crop, making it an interesting resource for the development of modern materials. Using hemp lumber opens up new possibilities for design, where aesthetics and functionality go hand in hand with a more conscious approach to material selection.

Strumber combines the natural origin of its raw material with an engineered structure designed for stability, precision and versatile applications.
