A material that fits naturally into nature-inspired architecture

In a house in the Kashubia region designed by Jan Sikora and his team, HempBean tables from the ReHemptation collection - made from Strumber Hemp - have been incorporated into the interior. This is a project where authenticity, calmness, and a conscious approach to design play a key role - values that naturally align with materials derived from annual plants.

The presence of Strumber in this space is no coincidence. The material reflects an architectural approach that does not dominate, but instead co-creates the relationship between people and their surroundings. In this context, it serves not only a functional purpose but also becomes part of a broader design philosophy.

Strumber Hemp in practice

The HempBean tables, designed by Husarska Design Studio, were crafted from Strumber Hemp timber - a material known for its high density, durability, and uniform structure. This makes it suitable for demanding applications, both technically and aesthetically.

With properties similar to hardwood, Strumber can be processed and finished using standard woodworking machinery. At the same time, unlike solid wood, it is free from natural imperfections such as knots, which ensures greater predictability in both the design and production process.

A new approach to interior design

The house in the Kashubia region was conceived as a space deeply rooted in its natural surroundings and local landscape. The interiors, designed by Jan Sikora, are not treated as a separate environment, but as an extension of the outdoors - filled with natural light, defined by a restrained material palette, and focused on everyday comfort.

The architecture of the house is based on eliminating excess and prioritizing the quality of spatial experience. Rather than relying on dominant design gestures, it emphasizes balance, softness, and the thoughtful use of materials that shape the atmosphere instead of imposing it.
